The ultimate act of kindness is volunteering your time to make a difference in the community. Volunteers are selfless, giving and caring. Anyone has the potential to be a volunteer, you don’t have to be a certain age, or a certain type of person. You don’t have to be a student or a workaholic. You don’t have to have lots of time. Even just volunteering one or two hours a week can have a positive impact on the world around you. The McKenzie Noelle Wilson Foundation believes that teens who volunteer and give to charity are on the road to recognizing who they are, what their talents are, and ultimatly recognizing their purpose in life. There are so many opportunities to volunteer, even if you have limited time because of school or work. You can also make volunteer your family time or friend time by inviting your friends and family to join you to volunteer! Right now we have several opportunities to be a mentor to elementary, middle or high school students. We also have several opportunities to volunteer at Foundation events in an effort to spread the word to the community about the Foundation’s mission of helping young people recognize their full potential. Sign up at www.mckenziegives.org to volunteer. There are opportunities for adults too! If you don’t volunteer with the Foundation, volunteer somewhere!
